Frequently asked questions

Do I need experience or qualifications to provide a teaching experience?

No. Simply describe how you have developed your skill or passion and why you would like to share your knowledge.

Do I need insurance?

Public liability insurance isn’t mandatory under UK law, but it’s worth considering if you feel there is a risk that someone could take legal action against you for property damage or injury.

Do I need a risk assessment?

Yes, however, it doesn’t need to be complicated or difficult, and in most cases it is just a matter of common sense. See our article and template or drop us a line with any questions.

Do I need child protection training or background checks?

This platform connects providers with parents and is not an employer or responsible for background checks on the provider. A DBS is not a legal requirement under UK law but please find further information in our Safeguarding article. Everyone should be dedicated to ensuring the emotional and physical safety of children.

Can you help me create my listing?

No problem! Just drop us a line and someone from our team can help you describe your strengths and learning aims. We can even help you with photos.
