*** May Half Term Activity*** Due to popular demand, volleyball has come to Hastings! Join Grant from Sussex Volleyball for this fun new volleyball session at the Summerfields Leisure Centre. The sessions will involve an introduction to various skills, drills and then games, in a fun and friendly environment, no previous experience of the game required, everyone welcome. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and bring a bottle of water. Physical activity sessions for everyone!
Active Hastings is an externally funded partnership project between Hastings Borough Council and East Sussex County Council Public Health. We have been working in partnership since 2006 to give local residents easy, fun ways to get their everyday dose of physical activity. It only takes 150 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity each week for adults and 60 minutes every day for children to benefit your health, both mental and physical. You can even break it down into 10 minute slots! All of our team are experienced sports coaches, fitness instructors and play workers, who are passionate about working with people of all ages in Hastings and St Leonards. We run free or low cost sessions throughout the year, as well as holiday activities as part of the Holiday Activity and Food programme.
