What we'll do
We will create spraypaint art which you'll be proud of. You are working towards an GCSE or Arts AWARD (an accredited piece of work if you so choose to.) Please look in the photos to see more information. Street-art is now on the UK curriculum but its not often that you get the chance to use real pressurised paints. I will lead you through mastering basic can-control technique and more advanced can control. We will work with complex layering of stencils and finished artworks will reflect a clear thought process. We will explore stencil making, personal identity and how street art equates into every day life, as well as broader concepts of how sub cultures relate and connect throughout different art forms, Hip Hop genre, and different methodologies of street art. We will eventually be able to consider mural works and larger scale projects including furniture upcycling and collaborative practice. (Advanced Class) Intermediate classes are in sets of 2 days spread over 2 weeks in order for the young person to experience what its like to take a design concept through to completion. The young person can take some homework away to create something for the second week involving upcycling unexpected materials for stencil making etc. You will create a piece of art on an A2 board to take away with you. You will experiment with layering, and using stencils and parts of stencils to get the desired effect. This work is suitable for GCSE or similar as it will be a more thought out piece exploring an important message and meaning behind the artwork. All images featured are by my students and this work is achieved during the 2 x sessions with some homework preparation time/ stencil making too. Each session will be two hours long. Please initially contact me with timings which may suit you and I will add lessons accordingly. Please choose 2 x sessions of your choice or contact me to arrange something more bespoke We are working toward an accreditation together- ARTS AWARD BRONZE & SILVER

Sarah AKA S.o.S Street Artist
Unique Street Art experiences & accreditation
I'm an award-winning Street Artist and Inclusive Arts, Practitioner. I love working with young people in order to free their creative potential. I have worked with over 700 young people to date, and pride myself in creating a safe, inspiring and most of all FUN environment for young people to flourish and grow. I was recently awarded a Points of Light recognition from The Prime Minister for my charitable work and my specially designed spraypainting workshops. You now have the opportunity to take part in my classes which I've decided to roll out in the area due to popular demand. I have a First Class Masters in Inclusive Arts and am specially trained and very experienced working with people who have special needs and disabilities too. I have extensive experience in working with hard to reach and marginalised teenagers, therefore my spraypainting experiences are especially engaging no matter what issues a young person may have. My public mural commissions and collaborative arts projects can be seen in Brighton, Hastings & Bognor Regis. https://www.pointsoflight.gov.uk/u-can-spray/ I also offer Bronze & Silver Arts Awards including working with young people with special needs and disabilities. I can support young people through GCSE's and A Level.
